Topic: Listening in Leadership: Creating a Culture of Trust and Engagement
In volatile times, strong leadership is critical, and today’s leaders must listen like never before. Though leaders with clear, candid, and compassionate communication inspire confidence, listening is more powerful than speaking. It is the leadership skill most correlated to trust and engagement.
In this interactive presentation, Shana Cordon, founder of The Moxy Lab, will demonstrate how skillful listening can boost your leadership and support a culture of psychological safety and respect—the foundation of any successful team.
• Principles for engaged listening: presence, patience, affirmation, and confirmation.
• Behaviors that inspire trust and respect.
• The science of how individuals listen and communicate differently.
• How to develop listening intelligence, enabling you to target your message, and to
improve connection and understanding.
Each participant will take a self-assessment, based on The ECHO Listening Profile.
This is the only scientifically validated assessment which identifies how one listens and communicates. It illuminates communication habits, preferences, and blind spots.
