A new event this year, Soiree at Sunset features a unique opportunity for Chamber members and guests to enjoy the early summer beauty of the Denver Botanic Gardens, as well as great food, wine, music and networking. 

Sponsored by VectraBank Colorado and featuring an up-close cooking demonstration by Chef Elise Wiggins of Panzano, Soiree at Sunset promises to be an unforgettable networking event that will help the CWCC further its vision of providing opportunities and visibility for women in business through relationship development, education, mentorship, partnership and alliances.

Soiree at Sunset also features area caterers presenting some of their favorites.  Among the caterers featured this evening are Catering by Design, Elk Creek Catering & Promotions, Wystone's World Teas, Larimer Catering and Gourmet Fine Catering.  Wine will be provided by The Naked Grape ? and desserts will be presented by Cake Crumbs Bakery.  While enjoying view at the gardens you can enjoy the sounds of Wandering Natives. Additional vendors may be included as well.

From beginnings in Louisiana to Texas, through Colorado, Puerto Rico, Tennessee and now back to Colorado, Wiggins has purposely and progressively moved up through the ranks - constantly honing her kitchen skills, tasting new flavors, managing more people and developing the talents that have won fine dining awards and accolades.

Elise came to the Colorado Institute of Art?s school in Denver and graduated with honors and worked in several kitchen jobs in Denver. She moved on to Puerto Rico as chef of The Palio restaurant at the Westin Rio Mar Resort in San Juan which earned a Mobil 4 Diamond award. Next was the opening chef position for Capriccio in the Peabody Hotel in Memphis.

Since making her way back to the Mile High City and Panzano, Elise has caused quite a stir. Chosen for 4 Diamond status from 2010-2012 by the American Automobile Association, Panzano has also been named Best Italian restaurant in Denver by Westword, "To Die For" by the Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide and included in the Top Restaurants in Denver by 5280 magazine and Zagat Guides. 5280 magazine recognized Panzano's gluten free program as ?Top of the Town.? The American Culinary Federation named Elise 2005 Colorado Chef the Year.
