Monicque Aragon is an Economist at the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. She earned a B.A. in Economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Colorado Denver and is completing an M.A. in Economics at the University of Colorado Denver in May 2019. She specializes in research related to the labor market as well as public policy analysis. Monicque is a Colorado native and enjoys hiking, backpacking, canoeing, and traveling when she’s not at work. She will be presenting on current labor market trends for Colorado and the Denver metro area along with a discussion on gender specific labor market research. Topics to be covered include trends in labor force participation, job growth, unemployment, industry and occupation projections, and some of the latest econometric research on labor force outcomes for women.
